Job Title: Principal Data Engineer
Duration: 12+ month contract with high possibility for extension
Location: Remote but must go for Livescan
Work schedule will be 4/40, 10-hour day within the M-TH
Work shift ranges from 7: 15am to 6: 00pm.

Work shift ranges from 7: 15am to 6: 00pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage an analytical data store/catalog to support organizational projects.
- Contribute expertise in data integration, quality, operations, platform architecture, and governance.
- Design and maintain robust data pipelines to manage both structured and unstructured data.
- Ensure flexibility to support diverse analytical use cases.
- Mentor and guide junior data engineers and database administrators.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data solutions with organizational goals.
- 5+ years of professional experience with Databricks, specializing in data engineering, data integration, data warehousing, and cloud computing.
- 5 years of experience in:
- Databricks.
- Developing data pipelines using Python.
- Working on Lakehouse Platform projects.
- 2+ years of experience designing and developing Databricks medallion lakehouse architecture, applying best practices for data governance and quality.
- 1+ year of experience in:
- Developing data models.
- Azure Data Factory.
- Managing Azure Resources.
- Automating Azure Data Resources using DataOps.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
