Job Description
Job Title: Right of Way Agent
Work Location: Talladega, AL
Duration: 9+ Months
Special Notes:
Travel (greater than 50%) is required to support this work and could involve locations across Alabama within APC service territory.
Laptop will be provided, and worker is expected to maintain consistent and timely communication via email and phone with APC employees as required to support efficient progress of acquisition projects.
Desired Qualifications:
The primary responsibility will be to negotiate with landowners to acquire right of way and provide support for Distribution easement acquisition function In Mobile Division.
Expectations.
High School diploma required: bachelor’ s degree preferred.
Display the ability to negotiate for land rights effectively and professionally on behalf of Client’ s from property owners.
Display the ability to be able to assemble and correctly complete required documentation necessary in support of land rights acquisition on behalf of Client’ s.
Possess general computer skills and knowledge of business applications (ie. Word. Excel. Etc.)
Possess the ability to correctly locate and retrieve the necessary documentation in a county courthouse to determine legal properly ownership (title research) and/or use internal tools to do the same when available.
Display the ability to participate on multiple projects simultaneously and keep files organized accordingly (multitask)
Display the ability to effectively interact with public and Client’ s employees to ensure acquisition functions are performed in a professional and timely manner throughout the acquisition process.
