Job Title: Business Analyst
Job Location: Atlanta, GA/ Hybrid
Project Duration: 12 months with possible extension
 
JOB DESCRIPTION
Consults with internal customers and external vendors to capture agreed-upon business objectives and processes. Performs research and fact-finding to determine business requirements for development of end-user programs, operational procedures and support.
1-Facilitate creation of Business Requirements following a traditional approach, or using the Business Process and Analysis (BPA) methodology as determined by the project sponsor 2-Manage Scoring (approving) and Claiming processes with Business and Technology stakeholders to review and refine business requirements and use cases to ensure they are clear, concise and traceable;and to ensure business requirements will be satisfied by the appropriate teams / applications. 3-Identify project stakeholders, risks and benefits of alternate designs;document assumptions;assess project impact of system changes to users, internal and external customers 4-Develop System Requirements (SRQs), including process flows and use cases 5-Conduct SRQ reviews with project stakeholders and document consumers to ensure completeness and adherence to business requirements 6-Consult with internal customers, cross-functional team members and external vendors to capture agreed-upon business objectives and processes to define system requirements 7-Update and map SRQs to Business Requirements in the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) 8-Review Architecture, Engineering and Application Development designs and QA / UAT test plans to ensure requirements are met and the RTM is updated as required 9-Provide BA support for software testing and debugging plans to ensure requirements are met 10-Provide status reporting for project progress, issues, dependencies and risks 11-Level I: 12-Typically performs smaller chunks of work or is one of many analysts on a project 13-Work is reviewed with frequent process checks during larger projects 14-Sphere of relationship and influence is primarily within the work team 15-Level II 16-Where knowledge may not be readily available, incumbents at this level know how & where to research and what information is necessary to document 17-Knowledge of the business may be deep in one functional area with surface understanding of other functional area. 18-Sphere of relationship and influence is primarily within the team & with key stakeholders 19-Level III 20-Proactively analyzes and documents solutions 21-Identifies risks/pitfalls and articulates possible options 22-Participates in business strategy & portfolio level discussions 23-Knowledge of the business may be deep in one functional area with broad understanding of other functional areas. 24-Knowledge sharing and mentoring of lower level team members is customary 25-Sphere of relationship and influence is within team, with key stakeholders & with senior management 26-May facilitate meetings 27-Level IV 28-Proactive and avoids costly risks by providing optimal solutions 29-Maintains an awareness of industry standards and advances knowledge base of functional areas. 30-Serves as primary consultant to business owners for solutions in lieu of external consultation 31-Participates and provides input in business strategy & portfolio level discussions 32-Knowledge of the business is deep in more than one functional area with broad understanding of most functional areas. 33-Knowledge sharing and mentoring of lower level team members is expected 34-Sphere of relationship and influence is with all levels of the organization 35-Identifies risks/pitfalls and articulates possible options 36-Provides guidance to business and is considered a go to person for the business function 37-Participates in vendor demonstrations, evaluations, and selection: may respond to RFP 38-Facilitates meetings Typical Training / Experience - Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline;Generally 5-8 years of experience in related field. Certification is required in some areas OR MS/MA and generally 3-5 years of experience in related field. Certification required in some areas Dept/Org Scope & Impact - Seasoned professional contributor with responsibility for an advanced area of work in the professional field;
 
Additional Information:
Onsite requirements- Flex Onsite Schedule 2-3 days per week . Work possible multiple weekend deployments.
