Job Description
EV Operational Support Specialist
Contract Duration: Until 01/31/2027 (with a high possibility of extension)
Location: Grand Rapids or Lansing, MI (Lansing preferred)
Schedule: Hybrid (Onsite: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday), Quarterly Meetings in Lansing, Grand Rapids, or Jackson
Travel: 25% travel throughout Michigan for events, including nights and weekends. Flexibility required during the working week ahead of scheduled weekend events.

Overview
The team consists of five members—two in Grand Rapids and three in Lansing. This role involves working closely with both internal team members and external customers through email, phone, and in-person events.
Responsibilities:
- Regular communication and check-ins with team members to ensure alignment and collaboration.
- Coordinate with external vendors, including third-party organizations (e.G., Tesla), to support events across Michigan.
- Ensure timely payment of sponsorship fees for events and related activities.
- Approve and review messaging for events, customer communications, and internal documents.
- Foster internal and external collaboration to meet operational and strategic goals.
Required Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on clarity, professionalism, and responsiveness.
- Strong customer service orientation with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Proven experience in customer product management.
- In-depth knowledge of electric vehicle (EV) technology, or at minimum, personal experience with an EV to understand the technology and how it functions.
- Familiarity with utilities and an understanding of the relationship between electricity, connectivity, and the impact of EVs.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Technology-savvy and adaptable, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Experience with Power Clerk and SAP is a plus, though training will be provided.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in customer service or related fields.
