Description: JOB DUTIES: Requires experience buying small component parts, hard drives and cables. Needs familiarity with the standard distribution suppliers. MRP experience preferred. Knowledge of a PO system (no specific one required). Ensures timely order placement of product or service requirements from pre-selected sources of supply. Issues releases against pre-established blanket purchase orders. Provides follow-up information on delivery schedule status. Prepares and maintains reports and files. Provides general assistance to Buyers and Section Managers in routine purchasing activities. Performs other duties as assigned.EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Minimum of 5-7 years of direct purchasing experience;Requires knowledge of purchasing systems and procedures;Word processing and spreadsheet skills highly desirable;Electronic component experience, preferred
