EPC Project Manager
Contract Duration: Until 07/06/2025, with potential for extension based on performance and workload
Location: Lansing, Jackson, Alma (assigned based on proximity to service centers)
Department: Gas Compression Group
 
 
Job Overview:
We are seeking a qualified EPC Project Manager to oversee gas compression projects ranging from $1M to $40M. The role will involve managing multiple projects simultaneously across various locations, ensuring that each project is completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in gas compression, engineering, and construction management.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage small to medium-sized gas compression projects, spanning multiple disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, civil, and controls work
  • Coordinate and lead matrixed project teams (no direct reports) at construction sites
  • Manage capital projects across multiple compression sites at varying stages of completion
  • Collaborate with gas control stakeholders, engineering teams, and other key departments
  • Oversee upgrade and new construction projects, focusing on integrating new equipment into existing systems
  • Ensure adherence to project scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives
  • Provide consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring stakeholders are informed of progress
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and reports to senior leadership
  • Develop and manage project schedules, forecasts, and budgets
 
Skills & Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in gas compression, engineering, or project management
  • Strong background in engineering and construction management
  • Associate’s degree required;PE and PMP certifications are advantageous
  • Experience with SAP, Unifier, and ProjectWise is preferred
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and lead teams effectively
 
Work Schedule & Travel:
  • 40-60 hours per week, with fluctuating hours depending on the construction season
  • 85% of time will be spent in the office or at local facilities, with travel required to project sites across the state, including locations such as St. Clair, White Pigeon, Holland, and Muskegon River
