Job Description
Electrical Engineer
Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite)
Duration: 15+ Months Contract
Duties:
Lead the electronics sustaining portion of work within the electronics group.
Work with a cross-functional team to determine the optimum architecture, design and implementation of hardware products.
Independently test embedded circuit board designs.
Work closely with the software and firmware teams, understand the dependencies between hardware and software development activities.
What You’ ll Need:
5+ years of electronics design and product improvement experience.
BS in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
Experience in sustaining electronic components and assemblies including:
o Working with contract manufacturers to resolve PCN & EOL notifications
o Co-ordinating with design engineers and purchasing teams to find replacement components
o Qualification of replacement parts by working with resources in software, QA and firmware
o Updating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOM)
Demonstrated ability to work with Procurement and Manufacturing counterparts to identify potential supply chain issues and recommend appropriate actions including: Identification of Alternate Suppliers, Last-Time-Buy Quantity Recommendation, and Component Harvesting Opportunities.
Experience with Windchill as a PLM system highly desirable
Experience using Electronics BOM Lifecycle Management tools such as Silicon Expert or Client
