Job Description

Job Title: Fluidics Engineer/ Mechanical Engineer
Job Location: Atlanta GA
Project Duration: 18 months with possible extension
 
Job Summary
We are seeking a Fluidics Engineer to contribute to the design and development of fluidic systems for foodservice and beverage equipment. This role focuses on fluid control and thermal management and requires the ability to collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries. You will support the development of world class products, and perform assessment and launch activities within a structured stage gate process.
 
Key Responsibilities
•Design and develop mechanical systems with emphasis on fluidics and thermal performance.
•Develop and perform tests on components and systems to investigate issues in hardware, control systems or software.
•Support quality and reliability efforts, including DFMEA, test planning, instrumentation, Design of Experiments and data analysis.
•Collaborate cross functionally with software, electrical, manufacturing, and non technical teams.
•Gather user requirements, develop system level specifications, and ensure product designs meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability targets.
•Lead or participate in structured problem solving using 8D, A3, or DMAIC methodologies.
•Create and maintain 3D models and engineering drawings using CREO, and manage engineering changes via Windchill.
 
Required Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited program in one of the following fields:
o Mechanical Engineering (BSME, BSMET)
o Aerospace Engineering (BSAeroE)
o Biomedical Engineering (BS Biomedical Eng)
o Mechatronics Engineering (BS Mechatronics Eng)
•Strong foundation in:
o Thermodynamics
o Fluid dynamics
o Electromechanical systems
•Proficiency in technical communication and cross functional collaboration.
•Competence in quality engineering principles and design for reliability practices.
 
Preferred Qualifications
•Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) or Aerospace Engineering (MSAeroE).
•Experience with:
o Embedded software and electronics
o Matlab, Python and/or LabView
•Familiarity with stage gate product development methodologies.
