Hardware Development Engineer Level 3

Job Description

Duties:
  • Contribute to the sustainment of existing sensing and safety product lines, utilizing knowledge of analog and digital circuitry
  • Be responsible for product redesigns, cost reduction projects, and safety standards testing, along with support for the qualification of safety products
  • Work in a diverse environment with tasks that include supporting, testing and redesigning safety and sensing hardware
  • Maintain technical requirements, improve and validate devices electrically and functionally, and perform engineering tests to support design and production
  • Networks with senior internal/external personnel in own area of expertise.
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. Rockwell will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
Skills:
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • Resolves wide range of issues in creative ways and effective ways.
  • Experience working with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and function generator.
  • Experience working with safety products, functional safety or knowledge of IEC safety standards
  • Experience with MPUs or ASICs
  • Previous experience designing analog and digital circuitry
  • Familiarity with Mentor Graphics/Expedition schematic entry and PCB design
Education: Bachelor's Degree
