Position: IBM iSeries Power 9 (AS/400) Programmer Analyst
Location: Montgomery, AL 36104 (Onsite From Day 1)
Duration: 06+ Months Contract
Job Description:
Provides support for IBM iSeries Power 9 (AS/400) applications and reports.
Works with organization’ s functional staff, divisions, sections, and contractors to program custom applications.
Problem analysis and break/fix existing applications and solutions.
Utilizes integrations with external systems to read/write data.
Operates as a Support Desk agent to receive and resolve tasks assignments.
Skills Required
Serves as an application developer for applications on a midrange IBM iSeries Power 9 (AS/400) system.
Coordinate with IT managers and customers to write code and support services.
Work with software development lifecycle (SDLC) to perform analysis, design, build, test, and release processes.
Maintain a solution repository and code source.
Maintain systems and end-user documentation.
Manage portfolio review and incremental updates for continuous improvement, compliance, and security.
Focused on customer satisfaction.
Experience Required
10 + years of experience in application development with emphasis on legacy COBOL.
Proficient in COBOL programming languages.
Proficient with DB2 database and Structured Query Language (SQL).
Experience with midrange systems (IBM iSeries Power 9, AS/400, 38, and 36)
