- IT Federal Grants/Contracts Specialist is tasked with the comprehensive management and oversight of federal grants and contracts, focusing on broadband infrastructure deployment.
- This multifaceted role encompasses administrative support, meticulous financial management, adept contract negotiation, and robust vendor relationship management within the intricate framework of state and federal directives.
- The incumbent will provide crucial assistance to the daily operations of the IT organization, particularly in managing federal grants and contracts.
- They will play a pivotal role in the preparation and execution of compliance reports and strategic planning documents.
- This specialist will be instrumental in coordinating contract/subaward management initiatives, including RFP development and execution, with a keen focus on compliance with state and federal guidelines.
Skills Required
- Ability to work independently on projects with moderate to high complexity Proficiency in managing multiple projects, occasionally taking the lead
- Strong grasp of federal grant processes
- Expertise in IT outsourcing contract management
- Ability to coach and mentor junior staff
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills
- Advanced vendor/subrecipient management abilities
Experience Required
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant business or grants/contract management work experience
- Proven experience in managing grants within a team-oriented environment
Education Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Planning, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a closely related field
