Title: IT/OT Infrastructure Engineer/Sysadmin
Duration: 18+ month contract
Location: Andover MA 01810 (Hybrid- Works 1-2 days in the office)

Major responsibilities
- Hands-on and technical work: design, implementation, configuration and administration for IT and OT infrastructure including on-premises and cloud-based solutions
- Manage infrastructure monitoring and remediation of operational issues and incidents consistent with procedures and ServiceDesk optimization
- Address incident, requests and problem management escalated with adherence to processes and procedures including Change Management
- 24x7 on-call responsibilities for IT/OT infrastructure related requests and incidents.
- Management of user access solutions: implementation, monitoring, and maintenance consistent with relevant regulatory and corporate policies
- Manage cloud-based services: request, deploy and maintain cloud-based solutions with an emphasis on adherence to Enel policies and processes
- Contribute to SLA management by tracking internal activities as well as contractor activity
- Draft, update documentation, infrastructure diagrams, inventories processes and procedures including training of constituent staff responsible for project and 24x7 operations
RELATED DUTIES
- Manage Active Directory domain: GPOs, account administration, etc.
- Update/improve monitoring solutions including configuration and integration with applicable procedures and ServiceDesk operations
- Hands-on implementation and support for hardware
- Full support of virtual compute environments, including but not limited to VMWare
- Monitor and manage backup and recovery operations
- Involve vendors to diagnose, update and correct operational problems associated with specific hardware and software and identify root cause.
- Lead operating systems installation, upgrade, configuration, and standardization
- Lead incident review and root cause analysis, and escalate incidents as appropriate
- Manage and tune storage solution, patching, monitoring and administration.
- Provide Tier 3 support for internal and external stakeholders
- Periodically test systems, data, and environmental recovery procedures to validate the effectiveness of documented recovery plans. This includes recovery due to individual system issues, cyber security events, or disaster recovery scenarios
- Update and upgrade hardware and infrastructure software/firmware to versions and releases supported by the respective vendors
- Execute/oversee patching processes and upgrade processes for BIOS, operating systems, and software
REQUIREMENTS
MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor’ s degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
- 7 years of Systems Administration in a Windows environment
- 3 years of proven experience in Active Directory design, management, and Group Policies administration
- 3 years in managing virtualized environments (Ideally VMware 7+)
- 2 years’ experience in managing Linux based systems.
- Working experience with modular and hyperconverged server/storage hardware management (e.G., Client c7000, Dell PowerEdge VRTX, Dell VxRail) including network virtualization.
- Expertise in enterprise backup and recovery platforms (e.G. Veeam)
- Familiarity with LAN/WAN topologies and troubleshooting and understanding of firewall security and network segmentation
- Ability to clear a 7-year background screen
- Ability to work on a 24/7 on-call rotation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills within a collaborative environment
- Must have current valid driver’ s license to operate in North America
- Must be willing to travel as needed for meeting and incidents/projects to Data centres (up to 10% of the time)
HIGHLY REGARDED:
- Expertise in High Availability databases configuration and operations (MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL & Oracle)
- Cisco network certifications, MCSE or VMWare Certifications
- Knowledge of OT systems/SCADA solutions and OSI PI systems
- Project management experience/certification
- Prior experience working in the Energy/utility and ideally renewable energy industry
