Position Description
- The IT Systems Specialist is the full performance level work performing advanced applied and developmental technical work in data systems design and maintenance.
- Analyze, develop, design, modify, implement, and/or maintain local/wide area networks (LAN/WAN), operating systems, mainframe/midrange, and/or database systems.
- Work involves assignment as a generalist performing in multiple areas typically supporting complex IT systems.
- Support and Maintenance for Finance SBS server infrastructure to include updates, upgrades, and security.
- Backup to senior level server administrator.
- Technical Environment: VMWare vSphere, Server 2019 (Server and SQL), Red hat 7/8
- 4 years server administrator experience: Current experience in RHEL Server 7 and above Current experience in Windows server 2016 and above Current experience in VMware vSphere 6.0 and above Current experience in administering file servers and folder permissions .
- Current experience in creating and administering Red hat Linux 7 and above Current experience in creating and administering Windows servers Understanding of DNS, Active Directory, Group Policies Bonus Skills: Dell Power Protect backup and Data domain experience Dell VxRail experience Network topologies and terminology Service Now experience Kubernetes/Docker or other container solutions ManageEngine Application Manager Azure cloud services PowerShell.
- At least 4 years server administrator experience: Current experience in RHEL Linux 7 and above to include installing and configuring OS.
- Current experience in Windows server 2016 and above to include installing and configuring OS.
- Current experience in VMware vSphere 6.0 and above to include VM creation and configuration Current experience in creating and administering file servers, folder permissions, user administration Current experience in installing and administering applications based on business needs.
