Contract Duration: Until 02/17/2026 with a high possibility of extension
Location: Remote (with occasional in-person requirements for Michigan-based candidates)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and creative Instructional Design Specialist with 1-2 years of experience to design and develop dynamic learning experiences. This position will primarily be remote;however, candidates must be based in Michigan to attend in-person meetings, “go-and-see”visits, and video shoots, as required.

Role Responsibilities:
The Instructional Design Specialist will be responsible for creating engaging and effective learning materials in various formats, including video, interactive eLearning modules, large-scale training programs, and blended instructor-led presentations. Key responsibilities include:
- Defining clear learning objectives, restructuring content, and designing engaging activities to support both face-to-face and online learning environments.
- Collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from various business units to ensure that all content aligns with industry best practices, while adhering to regulatory and legal requirements.
- Designing and developing multimedia-rich training solutions with a focus on maximizing learner engagement and retention.
- Creating storyboards, planning production schedules, coordinating activities, conducting research, and maintaining overall production timelines.
- Producing high-quality video content for training purposes, with proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Required Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in Instructional Design, eLearning development, video production, or a related field.
- Proficiency in developing interactive asynchronous eLearning experiences, as well as synchronous, scenario-based in-person training sessions.
- Strong ability to simplify complex, multi-step processes into clear, actionable, and digestible training content.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adapting to shifting business priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Experience with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline (preferred), Adobe Captivate, and other related software.
- Expertise in the Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating attention to detail, adherence to adult learning principles, and the effective use of design principles with visually appealing layouts.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in video production and post-production editing for training purposes.
