International Trade Specialist
12+ Months contract (possibility of extension)
Holland, MI (Onsite)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage international trade activities: Oversee and execute various trade activities, including classification, Free Trade Agreement certifications, and compliance with import/export regulations Conduct data analysis and research: Analyse data and conduct research to determine Harmonized Tariff Schedule classification, country of origin, and Free Trade Agreement eligibility Maintain trade data and documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date trade data, including import/export item master data, supplier databases, and Free Trade Agreement certificates Identify and support/implement continuous improvement initiatives: Proactively identify and support/implement initiatives to enhance trade compliance processes Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders: Effectively collaborate with stakeholders such as purchasing, suppliers, and customs brokers to ensure compliance and efficient operations Provide training and guidance: Provide comprehensive training and guidance on trade compliance matters to colleagues and suppliers Support audits and risk assessments: Provide support during audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with international trade regulations. Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation. Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation. Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment. Performs other duties within scope as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Production & Processing, Law and Government, Administration & Management, Instructing, Critical Thinking, Customer and Personal Service. Job Competencies: Managing Time, driving continuous improvement, driving for results, adapting to change & prioritizing & organizing work. Cultural competencies: Supporting coworkers, navigating organizations, pursuing self-development, adapting to others, service customers and acting as a champion for change. Job Leveling overview: Creates integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers. Focuses resources on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various production processes and establishes key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis.
