Project Duration: 12 months with possible extension
JOB DESCRIPTION:
What is the business objective/business purpose of project?
Developing operating process plans to machine or assemble parts for assigned area of the Powertrain department
Leading, planning, procurement, installation, trial, and launching of engine/transmission machining or assembly lines
Creating and maintaining schedule and budget for assigned area
Develop / improve standard tools and benchmarks
Lead and participate in cross functional working groups across local facility and corporate departments to achieve project goals
Visualize activity plans and schedules to facilitate quick consensus building to secure project priorities.
Analyze critical manufacturing issues and clearly communicate root cause and countermeasure plans to stakeholders
Job Description:

We are responsible for equipment procurement or modification of manufacturing equipment to produce Powertrain products.
What does the make-up of your team look like?
Our team is compromised of engineers. Each engineer is responsible for an area of a line.
What other teams does your group interact with?
Within client, we have several groups in our office
Seibi –this is a project maintenance group that give us technical support for the equipment.
CMG –this group supports our day-to-day activities with outside contractors for demo and installation of our equipment
Safety –this group monitors safety regulation for construction projects.
What is the typical hands-on day to day responsibilities for this resource?
Preparational Phase - Project management, vendor communications, and working with cross functional team to develop the manufacturing process.
Installation Phase- Construction management, machine vendor support, buy-off phase, and trial support.
Who else would this resource be interacting with on a day-to-day basis?
Plant Engineering, Quality, Maintenance and Production
Requirements: What you bring
•Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or Engineering Technology or 5+ years equivalent experience
•Experience in process engineering, including schedule and budget management (1 Year Required / 3 Years Preferred)
•Experience in planning, implementation, and production support for mass production lines greater than 9K capacity per month (1 Years Required / 3 Years Preferred)
•AutoCAD experience including the ability to read, interpret and modify (1 years Required, 3 years Preferred)
•3D Cad experience including the ability to read and interpret (1 year Required, 3 years Preferred)
•Willingness to work required overtime and travel as needed both domestic and international
•Flexibility for business travel, both domestic and international, up to 20%
•Ability to work weekend and shutdown work (such as July and December holidays) as needed
MUST HAVE:
•Steel Toe Boots are MUST have with the candidate.
•Should have a valid passport that’s not expiring for the next minimum 1 year.
•Should be 100% comfortable with international travel.
•Experience in process engineering, including schedule and budget management (1 Year Required/ 3 Years Preferred).
