Position Description
- The Public Health Logistics Support Specialist is responsible for aiding the Public Health in developing and implementing new programs, procedures, and training to enhance efficiency and resource accountability.
- This includes working with department staff to integrate mobile assets, deployable, and medical supplies into new resource management systems and developing the infrastructure and training to support these activities.
- The specialist must be capable of project coordination from start to finish with limited assistance and have knowledge and experience in documenting and coordinating vehicle maintenance.
- May travel to other locations with team members for inventory purposes.
- Teleworking is not authorized.
- Inventory is performed randomly and would not exceed two weeks in the "heavy"inventory months.
- Ability to conduct project coordination from start to finish with limited assistance.
- Knowledge and experience in documenting and coordinating vehicle maintenance.
- Skills in maintaining detailed records for all vehicle-related service events.
- Ability to be trained in OnBase software for purchasing and inventory management.
- Ability to participate in and assist with emergency response activities.
- Understanding of inventory.
- Experience in coordinating the use of equipment among various programs and offices.
- Proficiency in writing operational procedures.
- Experience in developing and delivering training in-person, online, and in a telework environment.
- Previous experience working with inventory management.
- A minimum of two (2) years of combined experience in vehicle and equipment maintenance, event coordination, or inventory management.
- High school diploma or GED. Three (3) years of responsible clerical and/or administrative experience.
- Must possess or can obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire.
- Immunization requirements must be met within one month of hire for various vaccine-preventable illnesses.
- Driving using a personal vehicle will be required for job duties.
- Mileage expenses will be reimbursed, with the rate defined by the Finance Department.
- Driving about 4-6 times per month.
