Title: Logistics Support Specialist
Location: Phoenix, AZ 
Duration: 12+ Months Contract 

 
Position Description
  • The Public Health Logistics Support Specialist is responsible for aiding the Public Health in developing and implementing new programs, procedures, and training to enhance efficiency and resource accountability.
  • This includes working with department staff to integrate mobile assets, deployable, and medical supplies into new resource management systems and developing the infrastructure and training to support these activities.
  • The specialist must be capable of project coordination from start to finish with limited assistance and have knowledge and experience in documenting and coordinating vehicle maintenance.
  • May travel to other locations with team members for inventory purposes.
  • Teleworking is not authorized.
  • Inventory is performed randomly and would not exceed two weeks in the "heavy"inventory months.          
Skills Required 
  • Ability to conduct project coordination from start to finish with limited assistance.
  • Knowledge and experience in documenting and coordinating vehicle maintenance.
  • Skills in maintaining detailed records for all vehicle-related service events.
  • Ability to be trained in OnBase software for purchasing and inventory management.
  • Ability to participate in and assist with emergency response activities.
  • Understanding of inventory.       
Skills Preferred 
  • Experience in coordinating the use of equipment among various programs and offices.
  • Proficiency in writing operational procedures.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training in-person, online, and in a telework environment.
  • Previous experience working with inventory management.           
Experience Required
  • A minimum of two (2) years of combined experience in vehicle and equipment maintenance, event coordination, or inventory management.     
Education Required
  • High school diploma or GED. Three (3) years of responsible clerical and/or administrative experience.          
Additional Information
  • Must possess or can obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire.
  • Immunization requirements must be met within one month of hire for various vaccine-preventable illnesses.
  • Driving using a personal vehicle will be required for job duties.
  • Mileage expenses will be reimbursed, with the rate defined by the Finance Department.
  • Driving about 4-6 times per month.
