Material Coordinator II

Contract Duration: Contract through 04/01/2026 (High potential for extension)

Location: Jackson, MI 49201

Work Schedule: Hybrid (On-site: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday | Remote: Wednesday, Friday)

 

Position Overview:

CMS Energy is seeking a qualified Material Coordinator II to support and manage material procurement and inventory activities. The ideal candidate will be skilled in SAP systems, possess excellent communication and organizational skills, and demonstrate strong leadership capabilities. This is a fully onsite role located in Jackson, MI.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage material procurement, inventory management, and warehouse operations.
  • Utilize SAP systems to track and coordinate materials.
  • Ensure timely delivery and availability of materials to support project and operational needs.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and field operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials, orders, and inventory levels.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in materials management processes.
  • May supervise or provide guidance to warehouse staff or other team members.

 

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required;degree in Supply Chain Management preferred.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in materials coordination or supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in SAP for inventory and procurement functions.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, diagnostic, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Experience in utility, energy, or industrial environments.
