Job Title: OSP Compliance Tech I
Location: Phoenix, AZ(Onsite)
Duration:  12+ Months Contract
 
Role Summary
OSP Compliance Technicians are responsible for inspecting, evaluating, and analyzing aerial and underground telecommunications facilities to ensure compliance with internal safety standards as well as state and federal regulations. The role includes providing repair guidance, maintaining compliance databases, and collaborating with teams to ensure safe and cost-effective network operations.
 
Primary Responsibilities & Essential Functions
  • Inspect outside plant (OSP) infrastructure based on scheduled timelines
  • Apply company, state, and NESC standards and regulations
  • Identify high-risk geographic areas and contributing factors
  • Assign and classify infractions based on severity
  • Enter and maintain accurate compliance data in database systems
  • Review make-ready work and coordinate with contractors
  • Issue work assignments to construction contractors and locate vendors
  • Coordinate service drop conversions to resolve clearance violations
  • Assist in material ordering and forecasting
  • Perform inspections and quality control (QC) on contractor work
  • Complete as-built mapping documentation
  • Support locating and QC of telecommunications facilities
 
Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in a related field (e.G., OSP Construction, Field Operations) preferred
  • Valid driver’s license meeting company standards
  • Ability to walk on uneven terrain and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to read and interpret telecommunications utility maps
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office and relevant software)
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2–3 years of experience with aerial and underground telecom construction
  • Basic knowledge of HFC/fiber design
  • Understanding of construction standards and applicable codes
  • Familiarity with telecommunications construction practices
  • Knowledge of NESC and local utility regulations
