Job Description

Position: Office Assistant

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Onsite)

Duration: 3 months with the possibility of extension


Position Description

Answers phones, appropriately directs customers to the appropriate department contact.

Prepares general department journal vouchers, payment vouchers, deposits, and purchase orders.

Maintains and processes grant documents and Intergovernmental Agreements (IGA) payments in the county financial and agenda systems.

Monitors various radio nets and takes appropriate action as required.

Performs administrative tasks including transcription of meeting notes, paperwork processing, data entry, file management, and drafting and managing correspondence.

Collects and posts information relating to daily schedules and activities.

Maintains office equipment fax, copier and printers, and communication systems.


Skills Required           

Ability to process simple data.

Ability to communicate effectively and establish effective working relationships.

Basic keyboarding skills. Excel and word intermediate ability to work with numbers.
