Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Database Administrator to join our team. The role involves managing complex technology implementations, designing robust Oracle database architectures, optimizing performance, and ensuring seamless operations in hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle database performance tuning, automation, cloud database management, and advanced security configurations. This position offers the opportunity to work in a hybrid capacity, combining on-site and remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and manage Oracle database systems, ensuring alignment with business growth and emerging technologies.
- Perform database performance tuning, backups, restores, and disaster recovery planning and execution.
- Automate routine database management tasks using tools like Jenkins, Ansible, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
- Deploy, configure, and support databases in cloud environments such as AWS (EC2, RDS, MongoDB, Oracle MySQL).
- Apply and manage security patches and maintain database security protocols.
- Lead the development of product roadmaps, backlogs, and success criteria, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Oversee version control and implement modern programming frameworks and methodologies for database systems.
Skills & Expertise Required:
Mandatory Skills:
- Minimum of 8 years in systems development, analysis, programming, or testing.
- Proficient in Oracle database performance tuning and managing advanced security options.
- Skilled in scripting languages such as WMI, PowerShell, Perl, Python, Jenkins, and Ansible.
- Experience with Oracle Data Guard, Oracle RAC, and Oracle Grid architectures.
- Expertise in database administration on Windows, Linux, AWS, Unix, and VMware infrastructures.
Preferred Skills:
- 10+ years of experience supporting Oracle versions 12.X and deploying Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) solutions.
- Knowledge of AWS monitoring and logging services, and enterprise-class backup solutions like CommVault.
- Experience with Oracle Audit Vault, Key Vault, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with teams across technical and business units.
Education & Certifications:
- Required: Bachelor's degree in IT-related or Engineering fields (substitutable with additional experience on a year-for-year basis).
- Preferred: Oracle certification.
