Work Arrangement: Hybrid (In-office: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday | Remote: Wednesday, Friday)

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer III to lead and support engineering efforts within the Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) division of HVD Engineering. This role focuses on substation design projects—both new constructions and upgrades—supporting capital initiatives with internal teams and external consultants.

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer III to lead and support engineering efforts within the Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) division of HVD Engineering. This role focuses on substation design projects—both new constructions and upgrades—supporting capital initiatives with internal teams and external consultants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead development of Scope of Work (SOW) for consultant-led projects.
- Create and manage RFQs, purchase requisitions, and invoice approvals.
- Coordinate design milestone reviews (30/60/90%) and track project schedules.
- Review technical deliverables and support AC/DC load studies, I&C schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Handle consultant RFIs, quality checks, and ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Host and participate in review meetings with consultants and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor and improve project KPIs including quality, cost, and schedule adherence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Controls, or a related Engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in utility, energy, or industrial engineering.
- Strong understanding of substation I&C design, including schematics, wiring, and load studies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard engineering tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and within cross-functional teams.
