Job Description:
As a Supply Chain Assistant III, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of CMS Energy's operations. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and improving supply chain performance by evaluating current processes and coordinating with multiple teams, including engineers, quality assurance professionals, and IT technicians. Your primary focus will be to identify problems, propose data-driven solutions, and work collaboratively to implement changes that optimize the company's supply chain systems.

Job Description:
As a Supply Chain Assistant III, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of CMS Energy's operations. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and improving supply chain performance by evaluating current processes and coordinating with multiple teams, including engineers, quality assurance professionals, and IT technicians. Your primary focus will be to identify problems, propose data-driven solutions, and work collaboratively to implement changes that optimize the company's supply chain systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis & Problem Solving: Analyze large datasets to identify patterns and root causes of issues within the supply chain. Use SQL and other analysis tools to pinpoint inefficiencies and propose solutions.
- Project Coordination: Work with cross-functional teams (engineers, quality assurance, IT, etc.) to define supply chain needs for specific projects, develop action plans, and ensure successful execution.
- Process Improvement: Lead efforts to improve the management structure of warehouse stocking programs, streamline the flow of materials to warehouses, and enhance supplier and carrier relationships.
- Collaboration with IT: Translate business needs into actionable solutions for IT teams, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technological solutions.
- Site Visits: Conduct site visits to warehouses or other facilities to gather data, observe operations, and collaborate with local teams to ensure proper implementation of supply chain improvements.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on supply chain performance and project progress, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain analysis or a related field.
- Proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with warehouse management, procurement, logistics, or related areas within the supply chain.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in the energy or utilities sector is a plus.
Work Environment:
- This position is primarily office-based during regular business hours, with occasional site visits to facilities such as warehouses.
- Remote work options may be available, subject to business needs.
