Position Details Drug Screen Yes Background Checks Yes Position Description The Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board has a requirement for an Intermediate level software developer. This position will develop, design, modify, write, test, debug, and implement software programming applications for the organizations Internet/Intranet sites. Gathers and analyzes requirements. Documents components and applications. Develops automation techniques to enable end-user content publishing; programs, tests, and implements mapped graphic images, forms, and HTML pages; handles client browser support inquiries; maintains links to external sites and accuracy on internal links while ensuring up-to-date information. Researches, evaluates, and recommends new Internet tools and applications for use in assigned responsibilities. Assess current management information systems for ability to meet project requirements and makes recommendations for necessary enhancement. Analyzes file structures, relationships and develop system designs. Develops programs using C#, MS SQL, HTML, MS Reporting Services, Power BI. Tests programs for accuracy and ease of use. Analyzes the data stored in the databases and makes recommendations relating to performance and efficiency of stored data. Maintain (fix/upgrade), optimize, and secure existing applications Skills Required Skills Required: Knowledge of personal computer hardware and related equipment Communicate complex solutions and scenarios clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical individuals Knowledge and use of Visual Studio, .NET Framework using C# and ASP.NET Database knowledge and skills using SQL, T-SQL, SSRS, etc. Knowledge of cloud technologies and developing in cloud environment; Azure Analytic Ability: Capable of reviewing data to identify patterns, use judgement to form conclusions and offer most effective solutions and recommendations to solve business problems. Skills Preferred Skills Preferred: Experience with SQL Server and stored procedures Extensive experience with TSQL, stored procedures and triggers Database design and data modeling/optimization Experience with Agile software projects Experience with user interface development Experience Required Experience Required: 2 4 years of relevant technical or business work experience programming using C#, ASP.Net, SQL, JavaScript, Microsoft Visual Studio, Reporting Services, and Power BI. Experience with system requirements and their constraints/dependencies. Experience with project development methodology and able to apply specifications to technical solutions. Team cohesiveness is paramount so excellent communication skills are required. Experience Preferred 4 years of relevant technical or business work experience programming using C#, ASP.Net, SQL, JavaScript, Microsoft Visual Studio, Reporting Services, and Power BI. Education Required Education Required: 4-year degree preferred major coursework in computer science, engineering, or closely related field. 2-year degree acceptable with corresponding experience - major coursework in computer science, engineering, or closely related field. Years of programming experience using the following languages/tools: C#; SQL; JavaScript; Microsoft Visual Studio; Microsoft Reporting Services. Education Preferred 4-year degree preferred major coursework in computer science, engineering, or closely related field. Additional Information Must be self-motivated professional with an interest in growing, developing, and contributing to a small development team. Team cohesiveness is paramount so excellent communication skills are required.
