Job Description
Title: Warehouse Associate
Location: Salt Lake City, UT (Onsite)
Duration: 12 Months (Contract)
Skills:
Proficient Attention to Detail. Proficient Communication - Written and Oral. Proficient Mathematics. Basic Organizing Data. Basic Problem Solving. General equipment knowledge.
Education:
High School graduate with some college preferred.
Experience working in a warehouse or similar work environment as a helper or labourer, and a basic knowledge of working in warehouse and receiving.
Developing knowledge of material shipping, receiving and handling, inventory management, and the issuance of materials, tools, and equipment.
Learn to perform daily operations for warehouse facility including material shipping, receiving and handling, inventory maintenance and control, filing of field requisitions, issuance of material, tools, equipment and fleet with significant interaction with construction teams and office personnel.
Learn to safely move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment.
Sort cargo before or after loading or unloading. Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.
Learn to observe incoming materials, equipment or systems to determine hazards and act in a manner so as not to expose yourself or others to the observed hazards.
Learn to understand and handle shipping and receiving documentation; read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
Assist with project mobilization and demobilization planning and coordinating. Verify purchase orders against packing list. Learn to evaluate small tools and equipment and complete necessary repairs. Learn to perform routine maintenance work.
